It’s almost time! Our 50th class reunion takes place this Saturday, a short four days from now! This is sure to be a very memorable evening and likely the largest ever gathering of our classmates since graduation.
A free photo booth will be on site so you can grab photos of you and your friends, teammates, extracurricular groups, and even a few teachers! A slide show with over 500 images from high school, past reunions, and faculty will be running for the duration of the party. Reunion committee and memorial picture boards and previous class reunion group photos will also be on display. LOTS of appetizers and finger foods will be made available throughout the evening. Two cash bars will be operating during the event. And period music will be piped in to hark us back to our high school days.
All of these accoutrements mean nothing without you! So if you haven’t already reserved your spot, tickets remain available through the 50th reunion website or can be purchased at the registration desk when checking into the reunion.
Please be prepared to gather outside the hotel (weather permitting) to take a group photo at 7:00 p.m. An announcement will also be made for this at the reunion when the time comes.
Also, please note the following:
- A visit to our old high school has been arranged for Saturday morning, August 15th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (the school is having its water main replaced, so no water or restrooms will be available. The district office has asked that we not bring any food or water into the building. Porta Potties will be available outside of the school)
- For those interested, an informal/unorganized breakfast/brunch will take place at the Wayzata Legion Sunday morning, August 16th, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
- Also for those interested, an informal/unorganized gathering at the Wayzata Beach will take place Sunday, August 16th, from noon to 3:00 p.m. Parking is available in the beach parking lot and on Grove Lane East. Though not arranged through us, a food truck is expected to be on site
So come one, come all – it’s an extravaganza you won’t want to miss! We can’t wait to see you all there!
The gathering will be held at the Minneapolis West Marriot at 9960 Wayzata Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55426 (the same venue as our 40th reunion). The reunion will run from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
